A simple Model of a Shop System

Image
A simple Model of a Shop System A shop model has two sections with two processes in parallel , one for boys and one for girls. Customers arrive at a shop with exponentially distributed inter-arrival times of mean 7 minutes . And the customer has to wait in a queue 2-to-5 minutes uniformly . Now when a new customer comes to the booth, he/she select a queue. The chances of a customer being boys and girls are 40%, 60%. After enter in a shop each boys customer needs 3 minutes and each girls customer needs 2 minutes to complete his/her shopping. We are interested in simulating the system for 15 hours to obtain process utilizations. 1.    The first is to draw a flowchart for the following system. 2.    Build and configure model as explained in the above section. 3.    The resource utilization should be more than 45% for each machine. 4.    There will be no more than 2 persons waiting in the queue. A simple Model of a Booth System This problem presents a two-stage balking model with two processes in series . Customers arrive at a booth with exponentially distributed inter-arrival times of mean 5 minutes . And the customer has to wait in a queue 4-to-6 minutes uniformly. Now when a new customer comes to the booth, he sees the queue. If he feels comfortable then he waits before the queue. 40% customers are waited before the queue and remains will check the line after some. After enter in a booth each customer needs 2.5 minutes for each to complete his works. We are interested in simulating the system for 20 hours to obtain process utilizations.
